Homecoming

give me a hug
for the road ahead
give me a smile
so I remember again
show me the way
down the winding road
towards home

Which I haven’t seen
In so many years
just the thought
brings up my tears
not that they
are worth anything
and there’s not
much to bring back
the empty room
screams for your absence
and the labyrinths
whispers in my ears
can’t help it but i wonder
if you’re okay out there

wherever there is
hope you know I care
and that I forgive you
for all the bad times
’cause there were good times
to make up for mine
and all the mistakes
that swirled around us
held no bearing
didn’t make us fuss
but I miss you
in this cold empty place
doesn’t feel like home
there’s no trace of you.

give me a hug
for the road ahead
give me a smile
so I remember again
show me the way
down the winding road
towards home…

I miss her.

I was out of words then,
I’m out of words now.

I could do nothing then,
I could do nothing now.

Our mother groaned, and father wept,
Into the dangerous world, I leaped;
Helpless, naked, piping loud,
Like a fiend hid in a cloud.

But we are far apart and I have grown learned in sorrow.
Nothing can make it dissolve And go away.
One moment, It is on my eyebrows.
The next, it weighs on my heart.

Losing you was possibly the most hurtful thing that has ever happened to me.

Not a day goes by that I don’t look at your picture and smile.
or cry.
Or Both.

It’s just the memories I’m left with.
I miss you so much.
Please come back.

I’m gazing at the stars for you.

My dearest Sister, Pooja.
